Dog and Puppy Training September 26th, 2007
If there is nothing else to learn throughout these eight steps of housebreaking your puppy, this one is most important. It is a simple step, and one that your dog doesn’t have a lot of hand in - this one is all on you!
Step Seven – Be Patient
It’s sometimes hard to be patient when
housebreaking your puppy, but your patience will pay off in a
puppy who is trained sooner rather than later. Giving up on your dog or getting impatient and over-disciplining him will result in set backs. Soon, your puppy will understand what they are to do, the more patient you are with the
housebreaking process, the sooner that light bulb will go off for your puppy.
